In 2000, best selling author Patricia Cornwell sued Leslie R. Sachs over postings to the web site promoting his book, www.vaghost.com (extinct), alleging that Cornwell’s books were plagiarized from his work. The suit ended in a stipulated settlement, which included no monetary payment but did include an injunction barring Sachs from promoting his book, and from posting Cornwell’s name on his site.
