The Council on American-Islamic Relations sued Virginia Beach, Va. resident Andrew Whitehead over statements on his website devoted to criticizing the organization, www.anti-cair-net.org, alleging that the group was funded by and supported terrorists. The parties reached a settlement for an undisclosed sum in December 2005.
